🧮 Debt Consolidation Calculator Using Google Sheets

A Simple, Editable Spreadsheet for Personal Finance Clarity

Hello and welcome to another spreadsheet tutorial! Today, I’m sharing a practical Debt Consolidation Calculator I built in Google Sheets for personal use. If you’re managing multiple debts—credit cards, loans, or lines of credit—this tool helps you compare, plan, and simplify your repayment strategy.

Whether you're budgeting solo or guiding others through financial planning, this calculator is designed to be intuitive, editable, and easy to access.

📂 What’s Inside the Spreadsheet

The calculator is composed of three sheets:

  1. Sheet1 – the main calculator interface

  2. Consolidated Loan Payments Schedule – helper sheet

  3. Current Debt Payments Schedule – helper sheet

These helper sheets work quietly behind the scenes to keep your main sheet clean and user-friendly.

✏️ How to Use It

On Sheet1, you’ll see some cells highlighted in yellow. These are the only cells you should edit—they’re designed for your input, such as:

  1. Debt Name

  2. Balance

  3. Rate

  4. $ Minimum

  5. etc

All gray cells contain formulas and should not be edited. They automatically calculate totals, averages, and projections based on your entries.

The layout is intuitive and beginner-friendly. Just enter your debt details in the yellow cells, and the calculator will do the rest.

✅ What You Can Do With It
